If you are wondering how long to boil eggs then you came to the right place. Boiling eggs is not a science experiment but only relative to time. So if you are boiling eggs for a recipe or simply just to eat for breakfast or as a snack, here are simple methods to getting that hard boiled consistency.
Did I just say microwave? Of course, it is still durable and able to cook food. Now I only recommend using your microwave to boil an egg only if you do not have a stove. With that being said, depending on the type of microwave, how long you have had it, and how hot it can get. You want to keep all possibilities in mind when going for it. Now I can say for my microwave after testing this theory, I achieved a hard boiled egg after 30 minutes in a bowl submerged in water. I did this in 10 minute increments just in case the bowl could not withstand the heat. For others this might take longer, especially if you do not have an updated microwave.
With using the stove, it also depends on the type of stove, how long you have had it, and whether its electrical or gas. I remember having an old electric stove that took a long time to cook everything. So, if you have an electric stove, then you should probably boil your eggs an extra 5 to 10 minutes then the normal 10-minute standard. I have since then upgraded my electric stove to a gas stove and I absolutely loved it 10 times more than another stove I ever had. The gas stove does not take long to heat up and cooks everything quicker. It takes me approximately 10 minutes to boil eggs to that hard boiled consistency that i am trying to achieve.
Now i hoped that this helped in a way for you to have a hard-boiled egg for your recipes. If you want a soft-boiled egg just cook the eggs a few minutes less. Most people that eat ramen, love to eat it with soft boiled eggs. I am a hard-boiled egg type of gal. How do you like your eggs? leave a comment down below.
