Southern Sweet Lemonade

Would you believe me if I told you how simple this recipe is? This sweet and tart recipe only requires 3 ingredients that are cheap and most likely you have already.


  • 6 lemons
  • 8 cups of water
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • Pitcher
  • saucepan
  • juicer
  1. First, bring one cup of water to a boil in a saucepan. Once its boiling, add 2 cups of sugar to it and keep a constant stir until fully dissolved. Remove saucepan from the heat to cool. This will make a simple syrup.
  2. Next, cut 6 lemons in half and juice them on the juicer.
  3. Third, get a pitcher and add the remaining cups of water to the pitcher. Then add the simple syrup and lemon juice to the pitcher and stir.
  4. Lastly, refrigerate the pitcher until cool. Serve cold over a cup of ice with a straw and a slice of lemon as garnish.
